AHA Connect are a South Australian agency who match qualified Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) with Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Therapy Recipients based on their specific needs and location.

Many Allied Health Professionals choose to delegate routine tasks to Allied Health Assistants so they can focus on more complex assessments and clinical work.
Our AHAs can support all allied health disciplines, are fully insured, and we invoice clients directly.

Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) work in many settings, including the NDIS, rehab services, aged care, schools, early childhood centres, and home‑based therapy.
AHA Connect helps clients find a qualified AHA who can work under the guidance and delegation of an Allied Health Professional.

AHA Connect only employs Allied Health Assistants who are trained to AHA Level 2 or above, which means they can work safely under delegation from an Allied Health Professional without needing direct supervision.
Our AHAs can support a wide range of professionals, including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists (for behavioural and skills‑based programs), Dietitians, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists, Social Workers and Audiologists.

All our AHAs have either completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or have enough experience to work safely at AHA Level 2 or above.
This training means every AHA supporting our clients is properly qualified, skilled and ready to deliver high‑quality support.

All our AHAs have up‑to‑date Working With Children, Aged Care, Vulnerable Persons, NDIS Worker Screening, and Police Clearance checks.
Our team at AHA Connect verifies every check carefully, because the safety and wellbeing of our clients is always our top priority.

All our AHAs have completed Manual Handling, First Aid, and CPR training, so they are well‑prepared to support clients safely and confidently.
Importantly, every member of our team is covered by Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, and Product Liability insurance, giving clients peace of mind that they are fully protected.
Therapy budgets can be tight, so adding an AHA to your therapy team can help stretch your funding further and increase access to therapy.
For example, an Early Childhood Occupational Therapist may charge up to $193.99 per hour, while a Level 2 AHA charges $86.79 per hour.
Using a Level 2 AHA can act as a bridge between AHP sessions, delivering routine therapy tasks under delegation. This helps reduce overall costs, maintain consistency between sessions, and make therapy budgets go further.
AHAs can support clients across multiple therapy areas.
For example, if you’re working with Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, your AHA can carry out tasks from each discipline in the same session, as long as they have delegation from each therapist.
After each session, your AHA can share notes and updates with all three therapists to keep communication strong and support better collaboration..
By delegating routine or repetitive therapy tasks to an AHA, Allied Health Professionals can focus on the work that truly requires their expertise, allowing them to operate at the top of their scope. An AHA can also provide a helpful “second set of hands” in situations where an AHP feels additional support is needed during a session.
